Junior Consultancy

We are a group of students in an engineering school in agronomy and international development, called ISTOM, in France. We have developed the ability to carry out expert assessment and are very keen to work in the field of environmental protection.

As part of our studies, we have the opportunity to undertake this project with a “sponsor/ silent partner”, while being supervised and assisted by our professors.

We are now available to discuss and determine our task with any partners interested in working with us.

Our work will consist in :

  • A preparation phase : client needs assessment, mission preparation

  • A Field mission : assessment and analysis (one to two months in Summer 2019)

  • A Reporting  : with a deliverable report

ISTOM

ISTOM is an agronomic and international development engineering school.

It aims to support socioeconomic activities in the agricultural sector of developing countries.

Founded in 1908, the school trains agronomists on the design, implementation and management of agro-economic development projects.

Over the 5 year course, the students acquire the basics in life sciences, economics, social science and project management. They also learn about issues related to sustainable development of resources management, environmental protection and economic and geopolitical problematic through various projects they undertake during the course.

The 16-month internship enable the students to put the knowledge into practice and to gain experience in the field.

Curious? The acronym MJE can be translate in english with JEA : The Junior Expert Assignement. The word Taiao means environment in Maori. Indeed, Maori have close links with their environment, be it mountains, rivers or biodiversity.
